Artistic Journey

Per Se—meaning “by itself” or “in its own right”—expresses authenticity, intrinsic value, and intentional focus. This philosophy is the foundation of Per Seramics. We create handmade ceramic pieces that are valued for their inherent qualities, honoring the material, the process, and the craftsmanship as much as the finished form. Every piece is food-safe, functional, and thoughtfully designed to complement everyday living.

Per Seramics began in a small community studio as a tactile exploration of clay. What started as a creative pastime evolved into a purposeful practice shaped by curiosity, patience, and care. Today, each piece reflects this considered approach—one that prioritizes functionality, balance, and quiet character over perfection.

Our work integrates multiple ceramic techniques. Wheel throwing provides structure, precision, and refined symmetry, while handbuilding methods such as pinching, coiling, and slab construction introduce warmth, texture, and organic variation. These subtle distinctions are not flaws, but evidence of the human hand. No two pieces are exactly alike; each carries its own character and story.

To choose Per Seramics is to welcome a thoughtfully crafted object into your home—one that stands on its own while seamlessly supporting daily rituals. We are also committed to giving back: a portion of every sale is donated to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, helping to support essential care and resources for children and their families.
